I'm here to help you remove an authorized user in QuickBooks, @ST48.

 

In QuickBooks, only the Primary Contact has the ability to delete a user on the account while still retaining the company's data. This means that even though a user will no longer have access to QuickBooks, all the important company information and records will remain intact in the system.

 

It's important to note that once a user is deleted, it’ll be permanent though you can still view their history in the audit log.

 

Follow these steps to delete a user in QuickBooks Online:

 

  1. Head to the Gear icon, then select Manage Users.
  2. Click the Ellipsis icon on the user you want to remove, and then click Delete.
  3. Finally, confirm by clicking Delete user in the pop-up window.

 

For QuickBooks Desktop, here's how:

 

  1. Access to My Account. If you need help signing in, check out My Account: Login help.
  2. Visit the Manage your QuickBooks page and choose the product or service you want to manage.
  3. Make sure you are logged into the correct account, then scroll down to the Authorized Users section.
  4. Choose the name of the user you want to delete or remove, and then click on Remove User.
  5. If the user has not responded to the invitation email, you will see the option to Cancel Invite instead.
  6. Click Remove to complete the process.
