Desktop Payroll info needed

I've received the email stating that I need to enter missing information but when I click the button, my program just spins. How can I update whatever is needed if I can't get in?  Can I talk live with an actual person please before I'm locked out of my system?  Thank you!

The unusual behavior that you've encountered might be caused by a damaged component in the program. To rule this out, you'll want to make sure that you're using the latest release of your QuickBooks product and tax table. This way, you'll always get our newest security patches and bug fixes. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Choose Update QuickBooks Desktop,
  3. Head to the Update Now tab. You also tick the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
  4. Click Get Updates to start the download.
  5. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. When prompted, accept the option to install the new release.
  7. Next, update your tax table.

Once done, try entering your payroll details again. If the same thing happens, I'd recommend running the repair tool to further isolate the issue.

Desktop Payroll info needed

No, all of your suggestions haven't improved anything. I still don't have access - it continues to spin.  You're wasting my valuable time with nonsense! And I'm quite sure that there is no missing information.  Wouldn't it be truly helpful if 2 people could have an actual conversation and resolve all matters within a matter of minutes instead of this ridiculous process...
