In QuickBooks online, is it possible to get more security event information such as the source IP address of a user log and what pages and/or reports a user downloaded or viewed? I'm investigating an unauthorized access event and the "Audit Log" is far to limited for my needs. I tried contacting QB support, but after many attempts and incomplete answers, I gave up. Do I need to subpoena the detailed security audit logs from Intuit, or is there protocol for requesting this data? I have already viewed the Gear > Audit Log, and this does not provide the detail I need for my investigation. I have tried to using the https://security.intuit.com portal; however, the does not appear to be a contact option for requesting this type of security log. In summary, I need to know how to request a detailed security log from Intuit that includes details about the source system, such as the IP address, browser type, etc. Thank you!
Thanks for bringing this up in the Community, @Security-User. We appreciate the details you've provided.
Currently, the audit log feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't display the source IP address of a user log and the specific reports a user viewed or downloaded. It only records user sign-ins, changes to QB settings, edits to customers, vendors, employees, and payroll submissions.
The information documented in the audit log includes:

Were you able to find a solution to obtaining entry log details by User?
Jean,
I'm in a similar situation but with QB Enterprise Desktop. I need to gather data on a User who is no longer with the company and will likely face criminal charges for embezzling. We need to compile information (all entries/changes made) by a User for a certain time period (multiple months). Is this possible?

Have you checked the Audit Log?
Currently, you can track user activity using the Audit Trail feature, which logs user changes, including entries and modifications. Allow me to guide you on how you can do this in QuickBooks Desktop, WhiteHat808.
You can run the Audit Trail report and customize the columns that you want to show. To do so, follow the steps outlined below:
