Duplicate licenses, need to merge

Somehow I have two QB Desktop Pro with payroll licenses. One is good until November 23, the other is set to expire this week. How do I merge these so I don't lose all my account data and payroll data?

I spent the morning in a spiral of doom trying to get a number to speak to someone about it but every time I get a number in the UK. I keep changing my location "flag" to USA but it automatically reverts to UK when I get to the page that gives me a phone number.

Duplicate licenses, need to merge

It's a pleasure to have you here today, @LizBee1. I'll share an insight to help you get through and combine company data from different licenses of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Since you have two program licenses, know that in QBDT, you can only merge two company data if they have the same type, level, and name. To get you going, you can utilize the Combine Reports from Multiple Companies features to generate a report that combines your balance profit and loss, statements of cash flows, balance sheets, etc. Once done combining the data, you can export them as a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet type of file.

Also, before anything else, please be aware that there are specific data that you can't merge inside the program. I'll list them below:

  • Memorized transactions
  • Budgets and Forecast
  • Negative Inventory Data Files
  • Payroll checks
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Sales Tax Data Files

Now, to combine reports inside your company file, these are the steps:

  1. Open the QuickBooks file in where you'd like to perform the steps.
  2. Go to the Reports menu, and select Combine Reports from Multiple Companies.
  3. Click Add Files locate the second company file, then click the Open button.
  4. Follow the same step to select the other company files you want to merge.
  5. In the Select Reports for combining option, choose the reports to combine
  6. Enter the date range in the From and To fields.
  7. Choose your preferred report basis.
  8. Click the Combine Reports in Excel button.
  9. QuickBooks will now open a Microsoft Excel worksheet with combined reports.

For further guidelines, please see this article: Combine reports from multiple company files.

Apart from that, I've got you these handy references to help you in moving your data from one company to another:

Once again, thank you for dropping by here in the Community space, @LizBee1. Feel free to mention my name in the comment section below if you need further assistance managing company data inside QuickBooks. I'll try my best to get back to you right away. Stay safe!

Duplicate licenses, need to merge

Just this past week, I received a billing for April. HOWEVER in January I was locked out of Quickbooks saying my License expired so I resubscribed t that time. I called customer support and they canceled my April renewal and now I get a message on my Quickbooks pages saying I have seven days to resubscribe. Help???? Anyone???

Duplicate licenses, need to merge

I understand the importance of resubscribing your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), Teri. I'm here to share insight about this.

If a prompt shows that you have seven days to resubscribe, we can go ahead and renew your subscription from the system or log into your Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs).

You can reference this article for the detailed steps: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have tools that can check your account and the subscription status.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  5. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

Moreover, you can check out these articles that can help you learn how to download the latest QuickBooks Desktop with your subscription and what to do when your subscription expires:

Feel free to post again if you have further questions about your QBDT subscription or anything else. I'm always here to help. Keep safe.

Duplicate licenses, need to merge

@Teri23

You need an active subscription license of QB Desktop Plus and Enhanced Payroll.

Can you login to CAMPS to check your license status there?

https://camps.intuit.com

You can still purchase a new license of QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus or Premier Plus + Enhanced Payroll. They will support both of them until 2027.

Duplicate licenses, need to merge

My CAMPS shows 2 enterpise Gold subscriptions. One active the other Cancelled.

In January I was locked out of doing PR as the system said I had no subscription. I purchased it not knowing that I had a separate Ent Gold valid until April. I called customer suport because the download would not work. They had me change a lic number somewhere in the QB software.

Forward to this week:  I received a renewal notice for April. When I called customer support this week about the notice to renew in April... they cancelled my april subscription and gave me a refund.

Thus is now very confusing.
