Every time I log in, I have to reconnect my bank account. Is there a way to permanently connect it?

Hello there, maya4.


May I know the name of your financial institution or if you receive any error messages/codes? Any additional information or screenshots you can provide me will help to ensure a timely solution.

 

In QBSE, you’ll no longer have to reconnect the bank once it’s connected to your company. Let’s perform a manual update to re-establish the connection.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top to select Bank accounts under Transactions.
  2. From the list, choose the account you’re working on and then tap the Refresh all button.

If you continue to get the same result, open the company file and access your bank using a private window or incognito mode. Normally, when you visit a web page, any text and cookies required by the page are stored on your computer.

 

The following sessions will prevent this information from being stored in the cache. Here's how to bring up one.

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

From there, log in to your QBSE file and check the online banking connection. If none of these solutions work, I recommend contacting our Support Team for further investigation.

 

To reach them, follow these steps:

 

  1. Click the Assistant icon in the upper right hand.
  2. Enter the issue/topic in the Type something field box or type.
  3. You can also type in Talk to a human to directly connect with our care agents.
  4. From there, Message an agent (Live chat), Call an agent or Get a callback.

Thank you. The bank is Navy Federal Credit Union.  I was able to fix the issue on the online QBSE but I was specifically referencing the mobile app. That is where it asks me to reconnect my bank account every time I open it.

As mentioned by my colleague above, once the bank is connected to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), you’ll no longer have to reconnect the bank.

 

If you already tried to refresh the connection in the QBSE app and the issue persists, I highly suggest contacting our Support team. They're able to pull up your account in a secure environment and check what causing this odd behavior.
