Greetings, Nikki. I see you want to limit your accountant's access to your company file. Allow me to provide more details about this matter.

The Accountant and Primary Admin have the same level of access. Restricting or limiting this is unavailable in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

In the meantime, you'll want to remove your accountant and manually share reports with them.

Here's how:

  1. Head to the Gear icon, then choose Accountant.
  2. Find the accountant you want to remove, then select Remove accountant next to their name.

To send copies of reports:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Choose your preferred report.
  3. Select the period or tax year from the dropdown.
  4. Pick Print or Download.

Refer to this article for more information: Invite an accountant to review your books.

For future use, you can read our QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide for reference in filing your taxes.

You can come back here anytime if you need further assistance with managing your company file while enabling your accountant to have the necessary reports. I'm available to help you, Nikki. All the best!
