How can export my payroll file online (intuit) if my subscription ended?

Good day, reinabassil-iclo.

Let me help and route you in the right direction on how to export your payroll file.

When you cancel your account, you’ll still have read-only access to your data for one year. We’ll have to export your payroll file to Excel to keep a copy.

Check this article for more details: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel? From there, you’ll learn about the data availability and export policies.

Let me guide you through the process of how to export your payroll information. Here’s how:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), tap the Payroll menu on the left panel and select Employees.
  2. This action will take you to the lists of workers added to the company.
  3. Click the Paycheck list link in the upper right to see the paychecks recorded in QBO.
  4. Press the Date Range drop-down to set the correct payroll period.
  5. Tick the boxes for the paychecks you wish to export.
  6. Tap the Run report button to apply the changes.
  7. Navigate to the Share menu in the upper right and click the drop-down to select Export to Excel.export payroll.png

For payroll tax payments:

  1. Go to the Taxes menu on the left panel and choose Payroll tax.
  2. On the Payroll Tax Center, click the View tax payments you have made link to see more details.
  3. Press the drop-down below the Payroll tax payments section to set the correct period.
  4. Navigate to the Share menu in the upper right and click the drop-down to select Export to Excel.export payroll1.png

For more insights into this process, see the following resource: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online. It includes instructions on how to download your non-posting transactions and attachments and other items.

If you run into any hurdles when moving your data, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. They can provide recommendations on how to successfully export the file.
