Export from intuit payroll to qb online

Thanks for reaching out to the Community @Barbara1950. I'd be happy to lend a hand with moving data between Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) and QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP).

To start, ensure that you're using a supported and up-to-date browser. Once verified, set up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account for payroll data and classes. Then, let's establish a connection to QBO as the export setup flow has updated.

Here's how:

  1. In your IOP account, go to the Setup tab.
  2. Click the Preferences tab.
  3. Choose QuickBooks Online from the software drop-down list.
  4. We will search for any existing QBO accounts under the current user ID. But if we're unable to find one, you will be asked to log in to your Intuit Account.
  5. Since QBO only accounts don't require security questions, the system may prompt the customer to select a security question and answer.
  6. If the correct account is found, you can continue to the export process. If multiple accounts are found, you will be prompted to select one.
  7. Next, we will complete the connection process.
  8. Once completed, you can complete the export settings. NOTE: Select Payroll Liability accounts and Payroll Expense accounts to prevent any errors when setting up or exporting your payroll data.
  9. You are also given the option to change the QBO company you sync with.

After that, set up accounts in your IOP account. For more details about this process, see this article: Setup export of IOP data to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Should you have additional questions about exporting data or anything else, I'm just a comment away. Have a good one.
