How can my employee log in to do her work?

I'm here to make sure you're able to let your employee login, @BevGoethe.

There are possible reasons why this happens.

First, you have already exceeded the number of added users in your account. To learn how to handle this, feel free to check out this article: How many users can I set up?.

Second, your employee wasn't able to receive the invitation. To fix this, let's ensure that after you add a user, invite them to the QuickBooks Workforce.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Payroll menu, and then choose Employees.
  2. Click Invite to Workforce.
  3. Check the boxes next to the names of the employees you want to invite and enter their email addresses.
  4. When finished, Select Send invitations.

For more details, I've added this resource for your reference: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s and more.

Additionally, read how to print pay stubs in QuickBooks and Intuit Online Payroll.

Feel free to let me know if you have other payroll concerns. I'll keep an eye on your response. Have a nice day.

How can my employee log in to do her work?

This is not a payroll issue, its a user issue. Managing Users brings me to adding her as a Standard user, she can receive the email to log in and when she tries to do so it gives the Alert " Something is wrong on our end. We are working on this issue." Well its been a week and we still can not get her logged in to do actual work like sending invoices.

I appreciate you coming back with clarifications to your concern, @BevGoethe.

Since your employee can receive the email and getting an error message while accessing it, I'd suggest accepting the invitation using a new incognito window. There are times that the browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources, thus causing some errors and/or unusual responses.

To use an incognito window, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to do so, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache would delete the internet files that might be causing the issue. Close and reopen it after doing so.

Alternatively, you can use another supported browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.

Also, make sure that the user's in your account doesn't exceed its limit. For more details about managing users in QuickBooks Online, please check out these articles:

Please let me know how things turn out. I'll be around to help you if there's anything else you need. Have a good one!
