How do I add another company to my existing QBO Essentials file?

I can help you with creating another company for your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @kevynq.

 

You'll need to sign-up for a new QBO account to create another company. One company file is equivalent to one subscription.

 

To put this company under your existing Intuit ID, log into your current company when creating a new account. Simply click on the Add another company button when creating another account. From there, you'll only be asked for an Email address and Password (you should be using the same email address).

Once done, you can simply switch from one company to another quickly. See this how do I switch companies article for more information.

How do I add another company to my existing QBO Essentials file?

Thank you, MaryJoy.  When I click on Add Client it takes me to the page for Client Contact Information and QuickBooks Subscription.  The new subscription was purchased last week.  If I chose to ignore that portion it says the new client will not be saved. Can you help me with this part?

I'd be happy to help you out here. 

 

On the purchasing screen, scroll to the bottom and look for the small text that says, "Adding a company to an existing account?" Select Sign in next to this. When it asks, enter your same User ID and password that you currently use for QuickBooks. Then fill out the rest of the required information about your new company. That's all there is to it.

Thank you, everyone.  The new client was added to the wrong account by Intuit Sales. They are working on correcting it today (I hope)
