I am budgeting by class. When I run a Budget vs. Actuals report, the actual information is not showing up. How do I get it to populate in the report?

I'll help you populate the data when running the Budget vs Actual report, abreault-hcfirst.

The Budgets vs. Actuals report summarizes accounts alongside your actual account totals. It also shows how much you're under or over budget.

To check the progress toward your budget goal for each class, compare the actual income and expenses to its budgeted amounts.

Here are the steps you can follow.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Budgeting.
  2. Click Budgeting from the Tools column.
  3. Find the class budget you want to check.
  4. Select the Action ▼ drop-down and then press on Run Budgets vs. Actuals report.

It's good to customize the report based on the information that you need. I've added this guide for more details: Learn how to get the most out of your financial reports.

To give you more tips about setting up budget targets for each class, please see this reference: Set budget targets for each class. It shows you how to see progress toward the company's goal and stay on track.
