I'm unable to log into each Quickbooks Company without logging into separate Intuit Account. How do you set up separate Intuit Logins for each Company file in Quickbooks?

Need assistance with setting up separate Intuit logins for different Company accounts in Quickbooks. I use the same email address and not allowed to use same email with setting up separate Company Inuit Logins.

If you have multiple companies under the same User ID, you’ll see the list of companies when you sign in to QuickBooks Online. From there, you'll be able to choose which company you’ll access. If you wish to switch between them after you've signed in, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Profile, select Switch Company.
  3. Select the company file you want to open.

i have three companies all under one login but need to separate out one of the companies with its own login for privacy. How do i do this?

I'd be happy to walk you through the process of separating one of your companies in QuickBooks Online.

 

First, you must have a different email and create an Intuit Account using this email address. Then, send an invite to the email address you want to access the new company with. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to one of your QuickBooks Online companies that you access with your prior email.
  2. Invite (New email) to the company.
  3. Select a user type. If you want this email to manage other users and company info, pick Company Admin.
  4. Go to your inbox for the new email. Then, choose the link you received to accept the invite.

 

From there, you can now sign in to your company using your new email.
