If you need assistance in setting up your payroll, here's the information you'll need to prepare:
- Employee's name
- Social Security Number
- Hire date
- E-mail address
- Pay rate
- How often you pay your employees (pay frequency)
- Home address
- State Withholding and/or State Unemployment account number(s)
- Tax rates
- The Federal form the IRS requires you to file (941, 944, or 943)
- Your company bank account info for Electronic Payments
Once confirmed, you can follow the instructions below on how to accomplish this. Make sure that your payroll feature is turned on. If it's not, here's how:
- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
- Click Payroll & Employees in the left panel.
- Choose the Company Preferences tab and select Full Payroll.
- Tap OK.
For employee setup, please go to the Employees tab on the top menu and click Payroll Setup. Then enter the personal data for their forms. You also have an option to invite them so they can add their information to save time.
