To log in to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account and reactivate your payroll subscription, you’ll need to gain admin access by requesting to become the Primary Admin. Let me guide you through the steps.

 

Since the previous admin has not been removed and you are not currently added to the account, this process will enable you to take over the Primary Admin role.

 

To proceed, ensure you gather all the necessary documentation required for this request. This typically includes a photo ID, a signed letter of permission from the owner, and official business documents such as articles of organization or incorporation.

 

However, please note that the exact requirements may vary depending on your business type. For a more detailed list of what you'll need to submit, refer to this article: Request to be the primary admin or contact.

 

Once you've got everything you'll need, here's how you can send the request:

 

  1. Open the Business Change Request form.
  2. Choose the right company to which you'll be submitting the request to be the primary admin. Make sure you select an answer to the questions from each dropdown.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Review your business details, then click Continue. Otherwise, select This is not the right business, then go back to Step 3.
  5. Ensure all personal details are correct, then select Continue.
  6. On the summary page, make sure all details are correct. Then click Continue.
  7. Provide the required documents, then select Submit request.

 

After that, our backend team will review your case as soon as possible. Once completed, you'll receive an update via email from no_response@intuit.com with the status of your request.

 

Once you've successfully taken over the Primary Admin role, you can then proceed with reactivating your payroll subscription in your QBDT account.
