I upgraded my Mac to Big Sur and Quickbooks 2016 Won't Open, What Now

Just wondering what the most painless solution for this is? My quickbooks file is a 2016 Quickbooks - I'd prefer to steer clear of online and subscription versions, what are my options?

I just got the best course of action, Benne.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac 2016 isn't supported with the OS Big Sur. As a way around, you'll need to upgrade to the 2021 version. This way, you can open your QBDT smoothly on your computer.

You can also read through these links for additional reference:

Rest assured, QBDT for Mac 2021 is already packed with the newest features and enhancement. With this, we can ensure you run your business efficiently. You can also download it for free to familiarize it prior to upgrading.

Before doing so, I suggest to back up your 2016 company file so you can restore it to the newer version. Once downloaded, I'd recommend contacting our Support team to assist you in upgrading your file. They have the proper tools to convert your data seamlessly.

You should purchase a one time license of QBD 2021 to upgrade your file.
