I was sent an email link to my 1099 and keep getting: "There’s an issue on our end. We’re on it." When I log in independently, I don't see the clients tab that the help messages say to look at. I need help.

I'd be glad to assist you today, vahuja-auxs-org.

I'm here to ensure you're able to receive the email link so you can view your 1099 under the Clients' menu on your QuickBooks Self-Employed.

To start with, you might want to make sure that your email address is correct. You should be able to receive an email invitation once your employer filed the form successfully.

We can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. If it still gives you the same error, we can do some of the basic troubleshooting steps by accessing your account in a private window.

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

Once signed in, access the link from there. After that, you'll be asked to create a new subscription with a self-employed account limited to only viewing your 1099.

When it's ready, you can view your 1099 form on the Forms section under the Clients menu in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you're able to view your 1099 using the private window, go back to your main portal and clear its cache to remove the browser's history. You may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.

You can get more about this in this write-up: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This will provide you detailed information on how you can view your 1099-MISC.

I'm always here if you have follow-up questions about viewing your 1099 forms in QuickBooks. Let me know in the Reply section below or if there's anything else I can help you with. Take care and have a great rest of the day!

There is no clients menu (see below) and when I click on the link from my email, I get the error message below.

There is no clients menu and when I click on the link I was sent (or copy and paste it in the new tab), I still get an error. See below.

Thanks for getting back to this thread and sharing a screenshot, @VAinMD.

Since you're still unable to see the Clients tab from the left menu, I'd recommend reaching out to our customer support. This way, they can check your account to verify the issue and help you in viewing or printing your 1099 Misc.

  1. Click the  Assistant icon and type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  2. Enter the same keyword (Talk to a human) when prompted.
  3. Click I still need a human.
  4. Choose between Message an agent and Get a callback.

I've also included this article for more info in viewing your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Please reach out if there's anything else I can do to help, I'm determined to be your number one resource for QuickBooks.
