Glad to see you in the Community, @davidr-health.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed, you can only download a PDF file of the Profit and Loss report. Exporting the report to Excel can be done if you're using the QuickBooks Online version.

If you need the Excel file for your P&L, you may opt for a third-party conversion. You can search for some apps online on how to quickly export PDF documents into Excel files.

QuickBooks Self-employed shares many features of QuickBooks Online, however, they are designed differently. You can learn more of this through this article: All Your Work, All in One Place: QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you have other questions or clarifications. I'm just around the corner if you need help. Take care and have a good one.

Export to Excel was available for 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Can you please ask your supervisor why this feature was removed in 2019? Especially while at the same time you increased price from $16.99 up to $25 per month. Please also tell your supervisor that I am planning to switch other software unless you bring this feature back, or reduce the price back to what it was

Hello there, davidr-health,

The Profit and Loss report can only be exported or downloaded as a PDF file since the start. There were other reports though that were available for Excel, however, all of the reports are now only a .PDF file.

I'll take note of your feedback. Furthermore, the price increase is essential for the product enhancements and future features we're going to add.
