I have a Proadvisor membership that renews each year and currently have Quickbooks Accountant Desktop 2021 installed on my own desktop with one local user (2 companies) and pay for a payroll update for one of the companies to be used within the software each year. I just got notified of all of the Quickbooks subscription model changes and am confused. My questions:
1. Do I have to do something here for this new subscription model or am I covered by the Proadvisor membership renewal and payroll renewal that I have been paying for each year?
2. I have been notified of a 2022 version that I can download.
2 a. If I do download and install the 2022 Quickbooks Accountant Desktop is there an extra charge, and if so, how much?
2 b. If I do not download and install the 2022 Quickbooks Accountant Desktop, how long will 2021 Quickbooks Accountant Desktop be supported
2 c. If I download and install 2022 Quickbooks Accountant Desktop, will my payroll move over with it?
3. Does the new subscription model change the Proadvisor membership costs and the payroll renewal costs?
As long as your ProAdvisor membership is active, you are eligible to get the new version annually. You don't need to upgrade to QBD 2022 Accountant if you don't have clients using QBD 2022.
Thank you. One followup question. If I decide to install the QB Accountant 2022 will it be an additional add on charge to what I am already paying each year for ProAdvisor?
Hello there, @tfmonroe.
Allow me to provide additional information on how you can use QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2022.
If you avail of the ProAdvisor bundle, there's no additional charge.
I've added this link for an overview of your current QuickBooks Desktop 2022: An exclusive QuickBooks ProAdvisor price.
