Is there a way to display an End of Month cash balance when running a Statement of Cash Flows Report when you display the report's columns as Months?

Hi, TPF22.

I'm here to share information about the Statement of Cash Flow report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Currently, the option to display an end-of-month cash balance in the Statement of Cash Flow report is unavailable. However, you can manually export the report to Excel and customize it to add the end-of-month cash balance as a workaround.

Here's how to do it:

  1. In the Statement of Cash Flow report, click the Export icon at the top right.
  2. Select Export to Excel.
  3. Save the file somewhere you can easily find, like your Downloads folder or your desktop.

To know more about managing and exporting report in QBO, consider checking out this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

I also recommend visiting our website for more tips and other resources you can use in the future: Self-help articles.

I'm only a post away if you have more questions about reports or anything else QuickBooks. I'll be here to assist. Stay safe.

It would be beneficial to have the cash balance visible in the monthly view of the cashflow statement.

it is available in the yearly view but not monthly/quarterly etc.

Exporting is a workaround but is unnecessary time used.

Hello, @Daniel12m.

I recognize the benefit of generating the Statement of Cash Flow report that displays the end-of-month cash balance. While this isn't possible in QuickBooks Online, I'll help you send feedback directly to our product engineers. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of QBO.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Type in your feedback or feature request, then click Next to submit them to our product engineers.

They may look into this suggestion further and consider adding it in future product enhancements.

You may also check out our feedback forum page for suggestions and updates from other QuickBooks users.

I've added this great resource that helps you modify your reports and save their current customization settings for future use: Memorize Reports in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any trouble with your reports in QBO, please let me know, and I'll do everything I can to help here in the Community.
