Would someone please advise me on the most user friendly route to set up a multi user QB setup. I am using Desktop Pro 2021.
I operate a small business and am currently transitioning to QB Desktop Pro. My account manager/book keeper works from home and I am struggling to find a way to allow both of us to access QB (her being remote and myself being in my home office).
I have come up with a few options.
1. NAS (I've since found out QB does not support NAS for some reason)
2. Set up a dummy computer at my Home Office and use a service like MYPC to remote in?
Please advise in the simplest possible way. I'm a construction guy trying to act like an IT guy so please speak to me like I'm a 10-year-old.
Hello JasonP0321!
Allow me to help you in setting up a multi-user in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you need both you and the account manager to access and work on your company file simultaneously, you'll need an additional license. Then, we can set up a multi-user on your company file.
Please note that this may not be as easy as 1-2-3 but we have detailed steps you can follow to complete it. Please check these articles:
I'll help in any way I can if you have any other concerns regarding your company file. If you need to record other entries, let me know and I'll post a guide or two.
If you only need to allow one user to access your company files at a time, you can explore this solution. It also supports NAS.

We will recommend another solution if you need more than one user working on the same file at the same time in multiuser mode over the internet.
