A 44% price increase?

Thanks for becoming part of the Community, execdir3.

The pricing update for our Essentials, Plus and Advanced plans becomes effective on each subscriber's first billing date on or after August 1, 2021. If a subscriber upgraded their subscription to Essentials prior to July 15, 2021, their account will be subject to the new pricing after the upgrade date. Subscribers who upgrade on July 15, 2021 or afterwards will be charged the new price from day one.

Price increases like this help make sure Intuit can continue to deliver a product that best meets your needs. There's additionally some new features that've recently been introduced:

  • QB Cash - A bank account that earns high interest, speeds up money movement, and automatically tracks finances.
  • Online Bill Pay - An ability to pay bills online.
  • Tagging - Tagged transactions give you more accurate and specific business insights.
  • Time Tracking - Create, review, and edit timesheet data to use in your workflow(s), such as invoicing, payroll, and/or job costing.
  • Cash Flow Center - Forecast finances, sync your accounts, and see credit card/loan balances. A checking account can also be opened with this feature.
  • A new search widget - This enables type-ahead searches. You'll be able to search by telephone numbers, addresses, tags, and other details you've entered into Memo fields. There's additionally a multi-criteria search engine built-in.
  • Redesigned mobile app - This is to help you get work done faster while you're on the go. There's been improvements made to mileage tracking and receipt capturing/matching.

These features can help save time, get organized, and run your business from anywhere. You can check out our Products Updates page to get the latest news about your product.

I've also included a few detailed resources about the pricing update that may come in handy moving forward:

A 44% price increase?

We had a 14% increase, which I find disturbing based on the lack of customer service.  It blows my mind that I cannot call customer service on the telephone and have a conversation.  I understand the convenience of on line, but sometimes a phone call is needed.  If it wasn't so much trouble to change systems, I would change tomorrow.

A 44% price increase?

It was 50% in my case since I was getting a small discount for being a Costco business member which Intuit dropped. QBO is still a crappy solution for us and all of the so called improvements and enhancements so far are things I don't want or need, yet the things that I've been complaining about for years were never addressed. I want to know what other software others are moving to. I can't wait to leave

This is outrageous!! I just learned that I'm getting a 69% increase! I'm a single person LLC! What kind of company raises prices that much at once?! Even 20-30% price increases are considered big jumps with most products but 69%?!!! Are you out of your mind? I would switch tomorrow if I could find a reasonable alternative without the huge headache involved with switching. And you know this so you've taken advantage of it. Completely unethical. Shame on you QuickBooks.

@rcaldera9

Are you using QBSE or QBO Simple Start?

I'm using QuickBooks Online Essentials along with QuickBooks Online Payroll Core (the latter is paid separately and not part of the price increase mentioned).

Don't expect a reply from the company which is obviously taking advantage of the fact that users are locked in. We're getting absolutely NOTHING for the increase, which is in my case double or 100% increase. I guess you can be thankful yours is only 44% so you're only half screwed but rape is rape. I will continue to advise anyone to check out other solutions before getting locked in to QBO
