Thank you for explaining your issue in such great detail, @musicmonkeyjungle. I'm here to make sure you can run your PPP Loan Forgiveness Cash Compensation report without a hitch.
Blank screen issues are usually the result of outdated or corrupt cache files in your web browser. Browser caches help speed up basic browsing that allows you to save more time when loading repetitive images or information. However, it can impact processes and cause this unexpected behavior when your browser accumulates too much historical data. Not to worry, you can clear them in just a few easy steps.
In the meantime, we can start by accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:
If it's responsive, I recommend that you clear it's cache. By clearing the browser's cache, you can remove that historical data and access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also try using a different supported browser. This way, you can check whether this has something to do with your browser.

Hi there
Thank you for responding. Actually I was getting this in the Quickbooks Mac app. I just tried Firefox, safari. and chrome and same result. Also the other PPP forgiveness reports i.e. payroll tax and average fee seem to run correctly. It is just the payroll cost report which is the important one I need. Any additional thoughts gratefully received. We have fully serviced payroll so it isn't like I have made any changes.
Hi there
I was actually getting this error in the Mac Quickbooks app. I just tried safari, Firefox, and chrome and same issue. The funny thing is that the other PPP reports (payroll tax, and average fte) work correctly and show data. It is just the payroll costs report that shows no records for any period no matter what date range I set.
We have fully managed payroll though you and so I have made any changes.
Any additional thoughts gratefully received.
Thanks for getting back to us with additional details about the QuickBooks Product that you're using, musicmonkeyjungle.
We also appreciate letting us know that you've tried using a different browser. In this case, I would recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support Team. They can take a closer look at this to determine why you're not getting any data with the PPP forgiveness report.
Here's how to reach out to them:
Please take note that our Payroll Support Team is open from Monday to Friday, in between 6 AM to 6 PM Pacific Time.
