Can't verify work email account because no longer have access to it

I can't verify my email for Intuit because it's a work email that I no longer have access to. I requested a download of my data but am not sure where the link for that will be emailed to because the work email is disabled. I don't have another work-related email account because I don't work for that company anymore. I don't have access to any of their Intuit products, but my Intuit account still has their data on it. The only other email I have is a personal email, but I'm not sure I should change a work account to a personal email address. Is there a way to add a backup email account in addition to the primary email account or to change the email address without changing the username?

Given that you no longer have access to your work email, using a personal email temporarily would be the best option. We can update it again later once you have a new work email. I'd be happy to guide you through the process of updating your work-related email address in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

We can update the email address associated with your QBO account, even if it's linked to a work-related email that you can no longer access. Below are the steps to change your email address:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  3. Select the Company tab, and click the pencil icon next to Contact Info.
  4. Enter your new email address in the appropriate fields.
  5. Press Save once done.

 

Please note that we can also update your email address in the Company settings of QuickBooks Online after changing your email address. This ensures that your company's correct contact information is displayed on sales forms for your customers.

 

Moreover, if you wish to change the email address used to sign in to your Intuit account (which affects all Intuit products), follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager. Use your sign-in info for QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma, or our professional tax products.
  2. Choose the Sign in & security menu.
  3. Select the User IDEmail addressPassword, or Phone section.
  4. Make your changes.
  5. Once done, press Save.
