Changing QBO to free subscription (QBOA

Hi I have a QBO paid subscription that I initiated before I had a QBOA account.  I'd like to use the free account provided in my QBOA account.  How do I get my historical data into the QBOA account and terminate the subscription?  What problems or issues will I encounter

Thanks

My pleasure to help get those historical data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to your new Accountant (QBOA) version, Setsun.

You can export reports, vendors, customers, inventory, and chart of accounts' lists out of QBO and import them to QBOA. Just make sure to sign-in as an admin  to perform this process.

To export your list reports to Excel:

  1. Go to Reports from the left menu.
  2. Choose the statement you want to export.
  3. Customize the list report’s columns.
  4. Select each report below to check how their columns should be ordered.
  5. After saving your report, export it.
  6. Open the exported report in Excel.
  7. Delete rows 1-4 to remove your company name and report title from the sheet.
  8. Save your report again as Excel or CSV.

After you export and save your reports, you can import them to QBOA. For detailed steps on importing each list, see these articles:

To see how your Excel files should look, download and open these samples:

For your bank transactions, you'll want to connect your account to QuickBooks to download statements automatically. Or you can manually import older transactions.

Learn to check your progress on QBOA by using this checklist to download a printable PDF that you can reference.

@Setsun

You may have other 2 options:

1. Utilize a 3d party migration tool

2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service.

Firstly, utilize the trial period to notice how it works. Connect TPExporter to your QBO account and export some data out of it. Connect TPImporter to your QBOA account and try import the data.

Hello Mary,

You mention in your reply to the original poster about information about getting historical data to QBOA from QBO. How is this done? ie transactions that have been categorized, bank reconciliations, etc.

Thank you

Allow me to chime in, lgrayum.

I see that you wanted to transfer your historical data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Online for Accountant (QBOA) account. I'll share some information on how to do this.

You can import the following data to your QBOA account:

  • Bank Data
  • Customers
  • Vendors
  • Chart of Accounts
  • Products and Services
  • Invoices

Please import each spreadsheet in the following order to ensure that your data is imported correctly:

  1. Customer
  2. Vendors
  3. Products and services
  4. Invoices

On the other hand, you can bring those categorized transactions and bank reconciliation by utilizing a third-party importer. You can go to the link provided by Fiat or look for another 3rd party application that has this capability. Go to the Apps menu to find one inside QuickBooks.
