As far as I know, it won't be easy to migrate data between a regular QBO account and a TS QBO account. You may have 3 options:
1. Utilize a migration tool. Need small cost but also need time and effort to complete.

2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service. Starts from $750
3. Utilize a QB Desktop file as a stepping stone. Need a small cost to none but we don't recommend it due to some limitations. If you prefer to try this route, we may help to convert the file to be open on QBD Mac 2019 or later. This option is not applicable when the multi currency is enabled.
This is my issue! I need to switch from QB Essential to the TechSoup subscription. I would rather just start over!!!! Thank you for posting.
QB quality has gone down due to their lack of customer service and reduction of phone use. It was so much easier to accomplish a small task. (RETURN TO PHONE US...PLEASE)
Any update on how to easily export/import a QBO subscription? I regularly point all my non-profit clients to TechSoup since QBO's price has skyrocketed so outrageously over the last few years and their tech support has disappointingly decreased.
Before the process was to export to QB desktop and then upload to TechSoup.
Then a couple years ago, that went away and I was forced to export/import using a 3rd party (Rewind, which was super easy and for a small fee). But that apparently is not available anymore.
What is Intuit's latest option for exporting....is it back to the QB Desktop?
I really don't want to call Intuit tech support, the two years I've been very disappointed every time.

Yes. You must convert your data to QBD and convert it again to your new QBO account. You will definitely lose some data due to process limitations. Otherwise, purchase a 3rd party migration service as I mentioned earlier.
Hello there, kdiver.
Aside from the suggestion of Fiat Lux - ASIA, I know a way how you can export your QuickBooks Online data. Let me guide you on how to achieve this task.
You can export the data by going to the Export data page. Here's how:
Once completed, you'll be prompted with a confirmation that the data has been exported. Next, you can download reports for the non-posting information that is not included in Reports and Lists. You can check this article for the detailed steps: Export reports, lists, and more.
From there, you can sign up for a new QuickBooks Online account from TechSoup. Once complete, you can start importing your Customer, Vendor, Items, Chart of Accounts, and other data from your old QuickBooks Online account. Here's how:
Feel free to browse these references to make sure that the importing process is seamless:
Once done, you can cancel the old QuickBooks account to ensure that you'll not billed twice.
I recommend visiting this link: Account Management. These will provide links about managing your QuickBooks account, subscription, users, password, and billing.
You're always welcome to leave a post below if you have other questions about managing your QuickBooks account.

I'm looking into this also. My subscription is QBO Advanced and going to new TechSoup QBO Advance.
it sounds like I need to set the new company up first. Then import the account list, vendor list and maybe recurring list. Input current beginning balances. After that, import transactions. Is that correct?
