Join nowI appreciate you for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO), Kelly. I'm here to help you with uploading your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) data to QBO.
To get started, you might need to refresh your QBO account to verify the data you've uploaded. You can log out and open QBO again to narrow down the result. Then, check out the data from there.
If it's still missing, you'll want to review the whole process of converting files from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can use this handy article for your reference: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
If you have payroll, most of your payroll data doesn't transfer to QBO when converting from QBDT. Paychecks created from QBDT will be converted as regular checks. There will be a lump sum import of the current year's paycheck information and may need to enter a prior payroll for the past year-to-date payroll info for each employee.

Yes, followed the steps exactly. I have now done it 3 times and nothing shows on QB online. There is no drop down box on QB online that says select company.
I watched the video and read the article. The article mentions a drop down box in QB Online to select the company. I cannot find that box. I've gone through the process 3 times now. I get an email from OB that says I'm all set and then nothing shows up.
Thanks for getting back here, @kelly-gwinn-onco.
When moving your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file to QuickBooks Online (QBO), we have to ensure that your program is updated to the latest release. This is to make sure that you have the updated components and fixes. Next, you'll have to run your QBDT program as the administrator. Then, attempt to import again. Once you've signed in to your QBO account as admin and select the option on how you'll track your inventory, you'll be able to see the Select a company drop-down.
If verified that your QBDT program is updated and you still can't see the drop-down to select your QBO company, I highly suggest reaching out to our Technical support team to investigate the root cause of the issue. They use specific tools to pull up your account and you can also request a screen sharing session so they can further check your setup. Here's how:
