I can share a few troubleshooting steps to rectify this invoice error, @Ibedoc.
The browser may have aging internet files that are often prone to bugs. For this reason, QuickBooks fetches an error unexpectedly without pointing out the cause or exact message and freezes.
In this case, we can isolate the hurdle by running QuickBooks Online (QBO) in an incognito or private browsing mode. This mode doesn't store cache data or internet files, which prevents QBO from running specific features like invoicing.
Here's how:
- Run a QBO-supported browser (Please see system requirements).
- Then you can follow the browser's keyboard shortcut to run in an incognito or private mode:
* Google Chrome: press and hold Ctrl + Shift + N keys.
* Mozilla Firefox: press and hold Shift + Ctrl + P keys.
* Safari: press and hold Shift + ⌘ + N keys.
- From there, log in to QBO and create invoices.
If it works, we suggest clearing your browser's cache to erase your regular browser's internet file data. This way, it will retrieve the latest data from various websites' online servers like QBO. Its advantage also is to boost the browser's optimum performance. Alternatively, you can run QBO on other supported browsers like Mozilla Firefox and the latest versions of Microsoft Edge.
