Hi i subscribed to quickbooks on my iPhone but in order to expense it I need the subscription through the web, how do i change that without losing the 3 months half price

On the web there is no option to change the subscription. On the phone i also tried canceling but cant renew online. Would I have to create an entirely new account online?

Hello, benholfeld. I can help share some information about subscriptions in QuickBooks Online.

You can cancel your subscription through the mobile app or app store. Then, sign-up for a new subscription via a web browser. When you subscribe to QBO, you'll have a chance to enjoy the 50% discount.

If you need further assistance, I'd like to have another go at helping you over the phone and Chat too. You can follow the steps below to get in touch with us. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Help icon, then the Contact Us button.
  2. Type "Subscription issue " in the What can we help you with box.
  3. Proceed with the Let's talk button.
  4. Select either Start messaging or Get a call button.

You can always leave a reply and I'll surely keep an eye on it.

Welcome back to the Community, benholfeld.

Let me provide some information on what will happen to data once you unsubscribe to QBO. I’ll also share a  workaround on how to move the file to the new account.

When an account is canceled, QuickBooks Online will continue to provide your data in a read-only format for a year. Within that period, you can export it to Excel or to the desktop version to keep a copy.

The file will be available once you resubscribe since we preserve it for 365 days. For more details, see the following article: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?

Before canceling, make sure to accomplish the following tasks:

  • Printed necessary financial and payroll forms and reports you need in the future.
  • Paid any outstanding tax deposits and filed tax forms.

To keep a copy of your reports:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and select the report you want to print or export. For example, Profit and Loss Report.
  2. Click on it to display the data.
  3. Navigate to the Report period to set the correct date range.
  4. When you’re ready, choose the Printer icon to save a copy or use the Export option to transfer the data to a spreadsheet.export rep.pngprint rep.png

I'm adding some articles to help you in the future. These resources outline the complete steps on how to move your lists, reports, and non-posting transactions. From there, you'll find the instructions about recording historical data.

Please know that you're always welcome to post if you have any other questions about entering historical transactions. Wishing you and your business continued success.
