How can I change our fiscal year end?

Thank you for taking the time to post today about the end of a fiscal year.

We can only change the start of a fiscal year in QBO, not the end. If you run reports, you can manually change the date range to only cover a 10-month amount of data.

You can also check about customizing reports for your additional reference.

So if I understand correctly, we will have fiscal years overlapping in QBO?  Any reports we run for 2020-2021 need to be filtered to be run only through 6/30?  But the new fiscal year, starting 7/01, will be fine?  I just change the fiscal year start date and it's that simple?  

I assume this would also affect all prior fiscal years - if we need to run reports for history or comparison we would have to change the report dates?  Not great, QBO!
