How do I adjust the default pricing for services already added to the app? It seems to only have somewhere to add them.

I have client specific recurring prices that some are due for increases. Thanks!

I can only think of one scenario when you say about adjusting default pricing. I'll help you sort this out, Aaron.

When you say client recurring prices, are you referring to the price rule? If so, QuickBooks lets you control the price of your products and services. Aside from this, you can offer discounts or even charge different rates by item. To turn on price rules, follow the steps provided below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Sales tab.
  3. In the Products and services section, select Edit ✎.
  4. Select the Turn on price rules Beta checkmark.
  5. Click Save and then Done.

To create a price rule, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select All Lists.
  2. Select Price Rules.
  3. Select Create a rule. After your first rule, select New price rule.
  4. Give your rule a name.
    • (Optional) Set when the rule is active in the Start date and End date fields.
    • Price rules apply to all of your customers by default. If you only want it to apply to specific customers, select the Select customers▼ dropdown and then Select individually. Then select Add customer. You can also add a customer type if you have them.
    • Price rules apply to all products and services by default. If you want it to only apply to specific types, select the Select products or services ▼ dropdown. Then select what you want to apply the rule to.
    • Use the Price adjustment method and Rounding ▼ dropdowns to decide how much you want to increase or decrease prices.

Once done, click Apply. You'll now see the adjusted prices of each item.

Furthermore, you can also run reports in QuickBooks to ensure you'll get the right information. At the same time, filter specific data for your business needs. Check out this article for your reference: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.

So this needs to be done from a browser, not the app? Thanks!

So if I'm understanding this correctly, I need to do it from a browser and not the app correct?

Thanks for the follow-up response, aaronmafera. Let me share further details to help you manage and adjust the default pricing for services recorded in your account.

As per the insights shared by my colleague above, the steps provided in adjusting default pricing are accessible using the web browser on your mobile phone or laptop devices since modifying price rules isn't available in the online app.

If using a computer isn't an option for you, you'll want to use the browser available on your device. This way, you'll able to utilize and follow the steps seamlessly. To help you do this:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account on a web browser.
  2. Follow the detailed steps shared above.

I'll also include this reference for additional guidance: Set Price Rules In QuickBooks Online.

Once everything looks good, you can run specific reports to help review your business finances and other accounting data.

I'll always be around any time you need additional assistance managing default pricing in your account. Just let me know in the comments below and I'll make sure to provide further help. Keep safe and have a great day ahead!
