Let's make sure you'll be able to change your accountant in QuickBooks Online.
In QuickBooks, we’ll have to delete the old accountant's information and invite the new one. It's how we can change and give access to your new accountant.
Here's how to delete your current accountant:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Manage Users under Your Company.
- Find the name of the accountant you want to remove.
- Click the Action drop-down arrow.
- Select Delete.
- Then, click Delete one more time to confirm.
Then, proceed following these steps in inviting your new accountant.
1. Within the Manage users page, click the Invite button.
2. Enter your new accountant's first name, last name, and email address.
3. Then, Save.
An email will be sent to your new accountant. Let them read the invitation and tell them to click the Accept Invitation button. After that, they'll be able to help you on the accounting side.
One thing to note though, we can add up to two accountants in Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus. If you would like to know more about the user limits in QuickBooks Online, just click here.
