I appreciate your detailed step by step list. It has not worked for me despite working on Quickbooks since 2002 and having fixed many integration issues through the years. I think it's intentional. QB does not make your life easier. Intuit is finding more and more ways to have control over your account. Will be switching to Xero and the like. 

I can see that you've been through a lot about converting your QuickBooks, FEDUP1.

Since the above steps didn't work for you, I would recommend reaching out to our phone support team. They have available tools and can do a screen-share with you to investigate your issue further concerning to integration process into QuickBooks.

Is there really no way to delete posts?

I was just about to follow your steps when I then find I can't DL IE on a mac! It should not be this hard to migrate from online to desktop!

You need a Windows machine to convert QBO data to a QBW file and migrate it to DMG. Otherwise consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service.

Could you recommend a 3rd party conversion? I've tried countless times to convert from Online to Desktop using the guidance of QB Support and nothing has worked.

Currently, we're unable to suggest which third-party app you should use to convert. You can look for an app that integrates with conversion in QuickBooks. You can also go to the Apps menu in your QuickBooks account and look for an app from there.

Thank You for your suggestion. But in my QBO It shows the error.  For your reference I have attached a picture as well. I tried in multiple browser (with Enable and disable Pop Ups) with admin access. But it is same Everywhere.

Currently I'm using QBO in UAE.

You can only utilize the tool to convert data from QB Online US version to QB Desktop US version. If you are using QB Online other regions (including QB Online UAE version), you may have 2 ways:

1. Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Online, TPImporter for Desktop

Try again on private/incognito browser and make sure you are opening a supported QBD version on the same machine (e.g 2019-2022). If the same error persists, consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service. Contact us in private for assistance. 

I have been trying to export data from QB on-line to QB desktop (in the US) for several weeks now.  I have attempted this nine times over a period of 2 weeks.  I get this message after selecting Continue from Step 2:  Sorry, but something went wrong on 12:36 PM Feb 1, 2024 when you requested that a company file be created for downloading. Please click Start Over to try again. I click Start Over and then eventually get this message:  Thanks for your request! We'll email you shortly once your data is ready.  But I never receive an email or see a notification on my QB Home Page. I have read the many helpful posts. I've read the QB migration guide.  I've made sure I'm logged is as admin on both desktop and on-line. I've cleared all browser cache.  I've enabled pop-ups.  I've tried incognito.  I've tried Edge and Chrome.  One post said the migration only works with Internet Explorer, which of course is no longer available to download since it has long since been retired.  I tried IE Mode in Edge, but the QB page never reloads.  I have enlisted the help of QB customer support on several occasions. After screen sharing with several different experts, I was finally told that no additional help can be offered because I am not an accountant.  I am a business owner and apparently that doesn't rate high enough to get the help I need from QB.  If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.

Which QB Desktop year version do you have?

I have QB Desktop 2019 Pro.  QB customer support made it very clear on my last call with them not to call back.  They said to help me they would need to escalate to the "Data Desk" (I think that's what they said).  And that department only supports "Accountants".

QBD 2019 is outdated. You can only allow to use a supported version to convert data from QBO. You can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2021.

Good to know.  And interesting that the half dozen people I talked with in QB support didn't ask what version of desktop I had, only that I run the updater.  And I was screen sharing so they saw what version I had.  I will install the latest desktop version and try again.
