To update the EFTPS password on your QuickBooks Self-Employed account, I recommend following the instructions on the EFTPS website, here's the link: https://www.eftps.gov/eftps/direct/FAQGeneral.page#getPassword.
Once done, wait for about an hour or two for the system to make an update. Then, try to make a payment for your quarterly estimated tax.

I updated on the EFTPS site yesterday and it is still saying "Payment error" on my QB tax payments page.

For now, we recommend sending the tax payments directly to the EFTS website.
