I'm happy to see you here in the Community, @Gayan.
If you receive the error message while entering your credit card information upon subscribing to your existing company, here are some possible causes of the error you’re seeing:
To fix this, let's ensure to enter the correct Credit or Debit card number on the Payment Information page. Please make sure to access QBO and click Subscribe using a web browser. This is to ensure the payment will go through.
You'll also need to key in the Billing Address details without special characters such as hyphens, commas, and periods. Make sure that the billing address in QuickBooks is the same as the one shown on your credit card statement.
On the other hand, QuickBooks Online US version only accepts US-based company addresses and information (phone number, credit card details). If your company is located in UAE, I recommend subscribing to a QuickBooks Online UAE version.
For complete details about subscribing to QBO, please see this link: How to resubscribe or reactivate QuickBooks Online.
You may also consider visiting this link about exploring QBO (UAE) and its great features: Help Articles for QBO.
Let me know if you're referring to something else. Any extra details about the error that you get will also be greatly appreciated.
I'll be right here to help you. I'll make sure you're all set. Have a great week ahead!
We have been using the Quickbooks for 4 years prior to this and it was the USA and Canada version. We didn't have any issue with it until we have to subscribe to online version without any choice other than leaving for a different accounting system. Below are my issues,
1. I have subscribed to a UAE version but I can't import the data I already had with older (desktop) version.
2. I can't change the address of my old company data to UAE which will enable me to subscribe.
Will you be able to show me a way to do one of the above, please?
Thanks for the detailed information, Gayan.
Let me help you switch to QuickBooks Online (UAE) from QuickBooks Desktop (US and CAN). We can convert your QuickBooks Desktop company file using Odyssey.
Let make sure that we're signed up for QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus (UAE). Once done, we'll need to complete our conversion form and upload a QuickBooks Desktop backup file. Migrate the data through our Odyssey Resources. From there, we'll invite you to review the converted data and complete the process.
I'm adding references here that can help us through the process:
You can always mention my name if you need anything else. Have a great day!
You will unable to migrate directly from QBD to QBO UAE version.

You may have two options:
1. Utilize the migration tool (i.e exporter for QB Desktop, importer for QB Online)

2. Purchase a 3rd party conversion service
Hope it helps.
Dear Catherine,
Thanks for the reply. Please note that I have entered many entries for the financial year ending 2019 December after changing to the Online version. Hence, If I convert what I have in the desktop version now, I will have to enter all those again. Is there any way I can take a back up what I have already entered up to today in the online version?
Also, I was using the Quickbooks Premier Contractor Edition 2016 and I can't see that version in the Odyssey "converting from" list.
Thanks for getting back to us, @Gayan. I appreciate you for providing us additional detail on what you want to achieve.
Since you're in a different region, you can go to Apps for QuickBooks Desktop to check for a supported app that can help you migrate from QBD to QBO UAE version.
You can also refer to @Fiat Lux - ASIA's suggestion.
Feel free to visit again if you have more questions. We're always delighted to assist.
