I am trying to turn off the 2 step verification and I do not have Sign in

It took me half a day to figure it out.

If you go to the RIGHT hand side of your screen, after logging in, you will see a letter, with your initial in it.  If you click on that (Much like when you want to log out) there will be a spot that says Manage your intuit Account.  Click that.  THAT is where you find the sign in & Security. From there, you will find the Two-Step verification.

Let me help you turn off the 2-step verification, @carickman.

The two-two-factor authentication is an additional layer that strengthens the security of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. If this feature doesn't work for your business, then you have the option to turn it off.

Here's what you'll need to do if you're using the same phone number.

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Tap Sign In & Security from the left menu.
  3. In the “Two-step verification” section, hit Turn off.
  4. Enter the code.
  5. Select Continue.

If you're using a different phone number, you'll need first to update your phone number so you can log in to the account. Once done, you can now turn off the two-step verification.

Here's how:

  1. Go back to the Phone section.
  2. Click Change.
  3. Enter the phone number and password then hit Save.
  4. Click Continue to verify the phone number.
  5. Enter the code and Continue.

Once verified, this will turn on the two-step verification automatically. You can then Turn off this feature in the Two-step verification section in the Sign in and security settings.

For more information about this process, take a look at this article: Turn on or turn off two-step verification.

Also, I recommend visiting our Data and Security page to help you manage your information and privacy settings in QuickBooks Online.

@MaryLandT  and ALL other Intuit/ QB employees that might decide to respond, I LOVE how you NEVER tell where to find the sign in and security. (sarcasm  FULLY intended)

If all of you STOP using the Canned or Copy/ paste answers, and Actually READ THE QUESTIONS BEING ASKED, you would have realized a LONG time ago what the issue ACTUALLY is.

@carickman  You can follow the steps I provided, to find the Sign in and Security.  However, a LOT of us have the two- step verification already turned off, yet, still have to wait for a code, just to log in.  It has been like this for me, this week.  Others have had the issue for a LOT longer.
