I cannot locate my license and product numbers after downloading quickbooks . I received an email with a receipt, but no other information was sent. What am I missing?

Did you purchase QB Online or QB Desktop? You don't need any license code or product code to use QB Online.

QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online are distinct platforms designed to operate independently. Consequently, there is no requirement for a license or product number when using QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you are inquiring about locating the company ID, you can find the number on the Account and Settings page.

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
2. Choose Account & settings. Then, select the Company tab.
3. Go to the Billing & Subscription section. You can see your Company ID from there.

However, if you are using QuickBooks Desktop, you may access the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS) to retrieve your information, provided that you have registered your product. Additionally, if you acquired QuickBooks from a physical retail store, the license number can be found on the packaging.

I am setting up quickbooks for the Accounting Warden for our church (she is not computer savvy, but she wishes to continue using quickbooks' basic features having used the 2008 version for years).  She purchased quickbooks Online with a free trial of QB desktop.  When setting up desktop for our church, I ran into the 1st picture file attached (requesting the license & product numbers:

When I pressed F2 as you instructed, I got this blank screen:

I appear to be stuck, OR I am missing something verry basic.  Thank you for your assistance!

QB Desktop and QB Online are 2 different products. You need to purchase a QB Desktop license to have the license code and product code. You have to call Intuit salesperson by phone to purchase the license. Another option, you can purchase it via a partner and you can get $100 cashback.

Please note that after installation, the F2 key will only function once you open the QuickBooks Desktop. Since you still need to install QBDT, you can find your license and product number by accessing CAMPs (Customer Account Management Portal) with your Intuit account.

2. Find your QuickBooks subscription in the Products & Services list.
3. Select Details.
4. From there, you'll see your license and product number.
