I don't have the accountant view

I don't have the accountant view. And I don't have "reclassify transactions" as primary admin and also admin on all my QBO accounts. Why? Where can I find this? Thanks.

It's great to see you here, @king-demeterandc.

I can share some insights about the Accountant View in QuickBooks Online. You'll only get this view if you are invited as the accountant of the company file.

If you wish to have the QuickBooks Online Accountant's View, invite yourself using these steps:

  1. On your QBO profile, click the Gear ⚙️ icon and select Manage Users.
  2. Press Add User then go to the Accounting Firms tab.
  3. Use the Invite button to add your login credentials
  4. Lastly, click Save.

Please note that you cannot use the same email to access the regular QBO interface and the Accountant's view. Once you accept the invite, your account will be upgraded to QBOA, unless you use a different credential for it.

Thank you for visiting us today. If you have additional concerns about the program and QuickBooks Online, let me know how I can help in the comment section. Have a good day!

I don't have the accountant view

I did this before reading the end where it says not to use the same email address when inviting yourself as accountant.  I am now unable to access my account as before as owner and not accountant.  How to put it back?

Hi there, @ahovanetz

Thanks for chiming in. I'll help you access your regular company file.

When you sign in to QuickBooks Online, you'll see Accountant and QBO companies sections. Make sure to select the one listed under QBO companies.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the QBO login page.
  2. Enter your user ID and password.
  3. Click Sign in
  4. You may need to enter a confirmation code to verify your identity. Select how you would like to receive your code and select Continue.
  5. Enter the code and choose Continue.
  6. Select your company under QBO companies.

When you're in QuickBooks, you may switch between companies at any time.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Switch company.
  3. Select which company you'd like to open.

Additionally, these articles provide useful information about managing multiple company files:
