You can only delete, truly delete by going in and deleting transactions one by one to end up with an empty account.
What you want to do is cancel your subscription and even then your data will NOT be deleted by QuickBooks for an entire year and there is nothing you can do to delete the data prior to day 366.

The answer does not answer the question. When I go to log onto QB Online, I see three (3) log in names, none of which I use. How I do I delete the unused QB accounts and then add the account I do use so that the next time I long onto QB Online, I see only one account to log into?

Allow me to provide answer about managing log in names in QBO, SurfFlorist.
Here's how you can delete unused names that appears when you log in to your QBO account.
Once you've completed the process, the next time you sign in to your QBO account, you'll only see one login name.
Lastly, you'll want to visit this article for details on managing your Intuit Account sign-in information: Sign-in information in the Intuit Account Manager.
Let me know in the comments if you need further assistance in managing your QBO account. I'm always here to help!
