Good morning, @nichole9

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I'd be more than happy to help you retrieve your data back and get it in your new QuickBooks Online Simple Start account.

To clarify, did you download your QuickBooks Self-Employed data before transferring?

Here's a guide that provides the steps that needed to be taken to successfully get your data over to QuickBooks Online: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online

Once, I've gathered those other details, I'll determine the best solution for your business. I'll be waiting for your response!

No -  I did not. I didn't realize I would need to do that and just wanted to get it upgraded.

Thanks for getting back with the Community, nichole9.

If you cancelled your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription, its data will be kept on file in the account for one year after cancellation. In the event it's still within that timeframe, you can resubscribe to access your data again, then follow our steps for downloading and moving data into a QuickBooks Online account.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Click the Profile icon, then Billing info.
  3. Hit View options to see different subscription types.
  4. Press Subscribe.
  5. Review your billing and payment details.
  6. Select Subscribe.
  7. Once you're resubscribed, follow along with the steps in our Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online article to download and transfer your data.

If the QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription is still active, you can sign in to access your data and follow the same process mentioned in step 7 for switching to QuickBooks Online.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful day!
