income not showing on projects

Not all my invoice or cost are showing as an income or expense when I use the projects. My profit margins are not correct as the some invoices are not recorded as income. I have checked the items and they are all connected to an income account so I don't know what the issue is.

income not showing on projects

Thank you for sharing the specifics of your concern with us, @nathalie-empire2.

I have some ideas about how we can isolate this issue.

I suggest logging out and logging back in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to refresh it. This also aids in the implementation of the updates.

If this is not the case, I recommend accessing your account through a private or incognito window. This way, we can see and test whether the problem is caused by the browser's cache.

Too much data from the browser causes inconsistencies that can affect your account's view and performance. Using an incognito window allows us to test the problem without saving any data files.

You can use the following keyboard shortcuts to open a private window:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browsers)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

If you can see your income and expenses in the project menu, I recommend clearing the cache in your regular browser to refresh the system. Using other supported browsers also aids in isolating the problem.

When you're finished, you might want to read this article to help you account for the labor cost of your project: Track hourly labor costs and profitability by project in QuickBooks Online.

If you need more assistance managing your projects in QBO, I'm only a post away. Simply include them in your response, and I'll respond as soon as possible. Have a safe and enjoyable day!

income not showing on projects

HI Thanks for responding. I have tried your suggestion and I am still having the issue. I have tried getting online help with QBO and that is a nightmare with the support people rudely and suddenly leaving the chat. Such poor customer service.

I dont know what the issue is... When I am in the front page of the project, the income box show $0.00 but when I click on the transaction tab my invoice is there.

Would you have any other suggestions?

Again I appreciate you taking the time to answer me and trying to help with this situation
