Quickbooks is continuing to send confidential business summary emails to a former employee, even though her email has been removed from user settings.
She used this email address when we got initial quotes from QB Sales to set up QBO for my business years ago, but we have since removed her as a user across QBO and Merchant Services. She still receives emails every month (subject line is: "Your QuickBooks Invoicing Statement for December is ready!") that say "Here's How You're Doing" and give a detailed snapshot of our invoices and expenses, who owes us payments, etc.
I have contacted Quickbooks phone support for help with this issue 4 times over the past year, and no one has resolved it. My latest support case # is 1575962313; supervisors were supposed to contact me by phone and email over a week ago. QBO phone support agents say that they have "removed her email address" and that her email is not listed in any of our settings. Obviously, they are overlooking a setting that needs to be corrected so that these emails stop. Our former employee still forwards me these emails she receives from QB every month.
The fact that QB is sending our confidential business information to an unauthorized email recipient that is not an officer of our company is completely unacceptable-- even illegal. I am turning to the QBO online support community in hopes someone can help finally get this resolved. Thank you.
I hear your sentiments, TestLab2020.
When things like this happen to me, I will be frustrated.
Since Community is a public forum, I'm unable to ask for any confidential information to check your account. That said, I'd recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team
You can also provide your case number to the agent, so you won't need to start from scratch.
I've also added this reference for some tips and guides in managing your QuickBooks account: Self-Help Articles.
I'm just a post-away if there's anything that I can help with. Keep safe!
This is not very helpful, Adrian. I have already gone through your support phone call recommendations multiple times. No one from Quickbooks phone support ever resolves this issue, or ever follows up with me. It has been over 10 days since my most recent support call with zero QB follow up. I need to escalate this to management for support. My ex-employee just got ANOTHER monthly revenue summary email sent to her automatically by Quickbooks. It is completely unacceptable to be sending our confidential business information to an outside recipient that I have not approved, and then not have a support team that's trained to even know where to update those email settings.
Can you please advise on how I can escalate this for immediate resolution?
I appreciate you for getting back to us, TestLab2020.
It isn't the kind of experience we want you to come across. To escalate this matter, an agent has to take notes of your concern and forward it to our team.
With that, I'd suggest contacting our Phone Support agents.
I'll be around whenever my assistance is in need. Keep safe!
Can you advise specifically which department of phone support would be responsible for fixing this?
Hi TestLab2020,
It's good to see you again. I'll share the links to our Support channels.
You can contact our QuickBooks Online Support, so they can check this for you. Please refer to this link: https://intuit.me/31h214q
