I recently installed the new Quickbooks Accountant Desktop 2020, and I noticed that 'Automatic Update' is set to 'Yes', with no option to set it to 'No' (it is grayed out). I believe that this is an issue worth addressing as automatic updates whenever there is an internet connection is not secure or ideal. I should be able to choose when to update my Quickbooks Accountant Desktop 2020.
Please help me fix this issue, and so that I can select 'No' for Automatic Updates.
The option to update QuickBooks automatically is set to Yes by default, NYTESCAI.
It's commonly advised to retain it this way to keep your software up-to-date. Being able to switch it to No is only available on the Enterprise version. It’s possible that you have the Accountant edition of the Desktop Pro or Premier since you’re unable to change it.
Right now, I’ll make sure to let our developers know that you’d like to have this option in your account.
Throw us your questions again if you have other concerns.
Thank you for responding, MikiD.
Can you give me the Case/Reference/Ticket # for this issue?

Can I get a Case/Reference/Ticket # for this issue so that I can follow up later on?
Hi there, NYTESCAI.
We’re unable to provide any references for a feature request. Our development team will be the one to review the request and will decide the application.
Right now, we don’t have any visibility as to when it’s going to be available. Though, you can check the newest feature added by going to Help in QuickBooks > New Feature > What’s New.
Also you can have these new features apply in your account by downloading the latest release version.

You need to allow us to NOT be forced to install your updates. I am currently dealing with a messed up file because you FORCED an update to 2020.
Good day, JackCal.
We don't want your software to be outdated. Our developers releases new security patches, bug fixes and tax updates reason why we always encourage you to update it.
