I'm here to help hide the Cash Flow Dashboard widget, jlong2,
This is a new feature added in QuickBooks Online where it shows the money coming in and going out of your business.
To ensure that it won't show up on your dashboard, you'll want to reload QuickBooks after turning off the feature. To do so, simply click the refresh button on your browser. See the attached screenshot below for your visual guide.
There are other new features you might want to explore. Check out the QuickBooks Online new features and improvements – May 2020 page to learn more about the updates.

right, thanks, did reload / refresh and logged in/out and although it says OFF it is still there. i understand what it's for, I just don't need it. It takes up too much space. Thanks for trying.
I have the same issue. I enabled it upon invitation, but it's not a good fit for our business, so I want to disable it. Even though I turned it off under Quickbooks Labs, it's still shown on the dashboard. I checked two different computers and it's still there.
Thanks for dropping by the Community page, @aiwapro.
Currently, the option to remove the cash flow widget on your dashboard is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
As a workaround, you can toggle the Privacy option to hide the financial information. When it turns to green, you’ll no longer be able to see all the information displayed on the Dashboard.
For more information, check out the following guide. It provides an overview of how the feature helps track your company finances: An introduction to the home dashboard.

That's a stupid work around. Give us the option to turn it off!
Please escalate this issue. It was optional to turn on, but it never said you couldn't turn it off once you turned it on.
Is there any hope of getting this fixed? I have been trying to remove this for a couple months now. Absolutely ridiculous that you can turn it on but not turn it back off.
Need this fixed! Or else, get my Huntington account connected so that the CF app is useful.
Thanks
Steve
This does not work.
Completely inaccurate, doesn't even update to actuals when the month rolls over, giant turd of a feature. Even the off switch doesn't work, but at least it takes up half the screen lol.
Good Afternoon, @frankcfreeman.
Thanks for joining in on this thread. This isn't the impression I want to leave you with.
I've got you covered. I can walk you through the steps of how to turn off the Cash Flow Dashboard Widget. No worries. It's a simple process.
Here's how:
3. Scroll down and locate the Cash Flow Dashboard Widget portion.
4. From there, press the radio Turn on/Turn off button.
Afterward, sign out and back into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This will help remove the widget after turning it off.
If the still persists I recommend doing some troubleshooting steps. Here are two:
You can also check out our tutorials page in the Community to show you details about features within your account.
This should do the trick of ensuring that the Cash Flow Widget is removed. If you run into any trouble along the way, just let me know. I'll always be around to help. Have an amazing day!
I also want to switch off Cashflow Widget, it is not accurate and takes up too much room on the dashboard.
However the method described above says it can be switched off in QB Labs - but it does not appear there!
How can I get rid of it?
Yeah they are just straight up lying lol, there is no way to disable it
Lol you can't they are just lying
Hello, @RD17D.
Currently, the ability to disable or permanently remove the the cash flow widgets on your dashboard is currently unavailable. This widget is only visible to the master admin of the company file to ensure that you'll be able to see how your business's financial data is running.
I can understand how it would be handy for you to be able to personally organize your dashboard base on your preferences. Bad feature nobody asked for that displays useless and inaccurate information taking up half the screen, impossible to disable, despite months of promises that it's totally and to be turned off.
Wow, thank you so much for this "feature" lol what a joke
Sending feedback about the highly useless cashflow widget was the only truthful think the support people could say. I did so and also said that if I had a choice Id choose another app. QBO has yet to even come close to the Desktop Pro version.

REALLY dislike this new widget. I would LOVE to deactivate it. I neither asked for nor want this function. PLEASE set up a way to TURN OFF THIS BLASTED THING!!!
Thanks for joining the thread and sharing your thoughts about the new widget @Dana Edwards.
Right now, the option to deactivate this function is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can see the need to permanently disable this feature as this takes up too much space on your screen. Thus, I'd suggest sending this suggestion to our Product Development team to help improve your experience.
That way, they can review your request and most likely include it on future updates. Here's how to submit your feedback:
Moreover, you can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
