The moment I switched over from Intuit Payroll to QuickBooks Payroll my account was disabled. Any idea why?

Thanks for getting in touch with us, monteserenoguy. It's our priority to ensure you're able to switch payroll products.

Before proceeding, did you encounter any error messages the moment you switched from Intuit Payroll to QuickBooks Online Payroll? Adding more details will help us provide an accurate solution to resolve this issue.

As of now, let's access your account via a private browser. The stored cache can affect the performance of QuickBooks which can cause unexpected behavior.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once signed in, switch the payroll products.  If it works, let's clear the browser's cache. This helps remove its stored cache to improve QuickBooks' performance.

If private browsing doesn't work, I'd recommend using different browsers. They'll provide you the best and most secure experience with the program.

In case non of these works, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support team. They can verify why you're having trouble switching your payroll products and investigate this issue further.

ere's how:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard.
  2. Select Talk to a Human.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and press Enter.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us to connect with our live support.
  6. Choose Get a callback.

You may also check our set-up payroll page, to guide you in managing your payroll in QuickBooks. This article includes info for the information you need before setting up payroll, how to know your payroll service, pay and file federal and state taxes, etc.

Please know that you can return here to keep us posted on your progress in getting this issue message resolved. It's always my pleasure to help you out again. Take care always.

Hi QuickBooks

- I had no problems related to my payroll prior to trying to switch from Intuit to Quickbooks.

- I went to private browsing as you suggested and I received the same 'Your account has been disabled' message.

See enclosed file.

Do you have any further suggestions?

I appreciate you for getting back to us and for going through the troubleshooting above, @monteserenoguy.

I can share some insights on how to get around the error message. You'll want to ensure you're logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO). Since you switch to QBO Payroll, accessing your Intuit Payroll account isn't possible.

However, if you're trying to log in to your QBO and received the error, I recommend contacting our Support team. They have the instruments to look into your account and investigate the cause of this.

To get in touch with them, you can follow these steps:

  1. From the sign-in page, select I forgot my user ID or Password link.
  2. Select Try Something Else.
  3. Click Talk to an expert.
  4. Complete the required fields.
  5. Then select Submit to connect to an expert via Chat.

Keep getting:

"Your account has been disabled.
Please contact your system administrator for more information."

Whenever I try to sign in.

How do I connect with the System Administrator to fix this annoying problem?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Did you ever get the situation resolved?  I am having the same issue and no one at quickbooks so far has been able to help me.

I can help you with resolving the error you have to log in to the account successfully, @chadlals.

This may have something to do with damaged profile data. I have a few ideas on how we might address this.

You can authorize the master administrator to remove and reestablish your user profile. You can give them the following instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and then to Manage users.
  2. Find the user profile and then click the down arrow in the Action column.
  3. Choose Delete.

Then, let them recreate your user profile before sending the invite. All you have to do is accept the invitation email, then log in with your account.

If it still says disabled, it's possible that piled-up cache in your regular browser caused this unusual behavior. One way to do this is to use a private or incognito window. This doesn't use the existing cache data, which is a good way to check for issues. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. Restart your browser right after. You can also proceed by using other browsers if the steps above don’t work.
