trying to migrate date from enterprise 22.0 desktop to online essentials

Hello,

I am currently using enterprise 22.0 desktop and try to migrate data to online essentials.  I am not over the data threshold but will not let me switch or restore data.  I do not need enterprise and do not want to pay for online advanced as to expensive at $200 month.  Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.  One last thing not sure if it matters, currently using QB payroll but switching to a payroll company so will not need QB payroll when I switch to online essentials.

Did you encounter any error message?

Try opening the sample file. Can you convert it to QBO?

Let me share insights about the possible reasons why you’re unable to switch from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), 913035.

There are various factors we can consider when migrating our QBDT company file. First, the targets that you have mentioned that you haven’t reached yet, and next to it is the file size.

For QuickBooks Enterprise, we are limited to migrating data with 750,000 targets in a 1.5GB file size. Regardless if you haven’t reached the targets yet but reached the maximum file size, you’ll be prompted to try condensing your QBDT file.

Other than that, we have greater success in migrating our files if we have the latest QuickBooks versions and releases. In this, you’ll want to make sure that you have the most up-to-date version of the application.

Moreover, I’d like to know if you have encountered a specific error message during the process. This is to help me determine what causing the problem and provide an appropriate solution. I’d appreciate it if you could enter additional details by adding a reply below.

Furthermore, learn the benefits of moving to QBO and how features and data move to it.

I’ll keep this thread open for your questions or any actions that need my guidance, please don’t hesitate to post them here. Take care!
