Hi there, @karey-pawz4peeps.
Let me share some insight about inviting an accountant to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
Once you invite an accountant, QuickBooks will be the one sending the email. That's why the email doesn't contain your email information.
Don't worry, this doesn't mean anything wrong. Your accountant will still be able to access your QuickBooks account. Plus, the sender information will be the name of the company file plus the <do_not_reply@intuit.com>.
For more detailed information, you can check out this article: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QBSE.
Let me know if you need further assistance with this. I'm always around to provide answers and clarifications to your questions. Have a great day ahead and take care.
I realize that Quickbooks will be sending the email. That was not my question. My question was how do I change the name of the Quickbook link so it reflects my business name? It only shows up as "No name" and 1) the accountant was hesitant to open it and 2) when she did open the Quickbook, she still could not tell who or what business sent it to her. We had to confirm that was my link by verifying the final income amount. Thanks!
Hi there, @karey-pawz4peeps. Allow me to chime in and share additional information about inviting an accountant.
Your accountant should see the name of your company when sending an invite. I'd suggest resending it to make sure it reflects your business name.
Here's how:
After they accept it, they can access your accounts through QuickBooks Online Accountant. Additionally, you can send them copies of your reports and other tax info.
Keep in touch with us if you need further assistance with sending your info to your accountant. I'd be happy to help.
Nope. That doesn’t work. Already tried that. Still shows up as “No Name.”
Thanks for the prompt reply and for trying the steps shared by my colleague to resend an invite, @karey-pawz4peeps.
I want to know more about this so we can give you the exact way of resolving the issue. I've replicated your concern, and the email I've received shows the company name instead of no name.
To ensure I can provide further resolution, I'd like you to send us a screenshot of what your accountant can see. This would help me identify your concern, don't forget to cover personal information in the screenshots.
For now, you can remove your accountant and resend the invitation once again. This way, your accountant can provide the screenshot.
