Welcome to the Community, and thank you for raising your user's concern with his password. I'll share information about resolving it.
A QuickBooks Online user uses its Intuit account, which is independent of the online company. This is not similar to QuickBooks Desktop, where a user’s credentials only apply to one company file. Therefore, removing him will not reset the password. He has to do it himself to recover the Intuit account associated to his email or user ID.
You can share these steps with him:
- Go to the QuickBooks Online sign-in page.
- Select I forgot my user ID or Password.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
He will receive an email with a password reset link. It's similar to resetting an email or any other online account.
