Why can’t my authorized user sign in to my account

Hello @maxcleaningservi,

There are times that your browser is full of frequently-accessed page resources, thus causing websites, like QuickBooks Online (QBO), to act weirdly. This can be the reason why the other user in your account is unable to sign in.

But first, may I know if the other user received an error message? We can consider letting them logging into your QBO account using a private browser so we can isolate this issue. To do so:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If this works, you can clear your regular browser's cache so the system can start fresh. But if you get the same results while using a private browser, use a different browser instead.

Lastly, here's an article you can read to learn more about your account and related tasks: Account Management for QuickBooks Online.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, let me know in the comments. I'll be here to help.

Why can’t my authorized user sign in to my account

Hello there, @lck2.

Though cache is one of the factors that we look at when issues occur, we also need to look on the other side. A system, browser, and application updates might also contribute to the issue. Thus, I'd recommend keeping them updated. You can reach out to your IT personnel if you need assistance with this.

I also have a workaround that might work for you. We can click the I forgot my user ID or Password link on the sign-in page. Not because we forgot the password, but to refresh your account. Here's how:

1. Go to the QBO sign-in page.

2. Click the I forgot my user ID or Password link.

3. Enter your email address and click Continue.

4. Log in to your email provider and look for the reset email.

5. Click the correct user ID or the Reset password button.

6. Enter your current password. You can change it if necessary.

7. Click Reset password.

If the same thing happens when you log in, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They'll review your account and further investigate this issue. Here's the link to reach them: QuickBooks Online Support.

I've added this article that you can check in managing your account in QBO: Manage account.
