I'm here to provide information about canceling your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Mike.

 

The method for canceling your QBO account depends on where you signed up for your subscription. If you purchased directly from Intuit online, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account as the primary admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and Billing.
  3. Find the product you want to cancel, then click Cancel.
  4. Select Continue to Cancel.

Furthermore, after canceling the account, please note you have read-only access to your QuickBooks Online for one year. Feel free to visit this, if you ever want to re-subscribe or reactivate your account.

Would like to cancel my subscription

I have tried to cancel this online subscription for the past 2 years through the steps shown below.  It always gives me Error(0).  I spoke with someone ages ago who said they would take care of it but I am still being charged on a monthly basis.  I want my money back!!!

Another option, change your payment method to a dummy credit card and let your subscription automatically fail on the next renewal date. Let me know if you don't have one.

To successfully cancel your subscription, we recommend contacting our Live Support team again for assistance. They will review your account to help you cancel it and discuss the monthly charges it costs.


Here's how to contact:
 

  1. Inside QuickBooks Online, navigate to the Help menu.
  2. Select the Search option and type "contact support".
  3. Choose the Contact Us tab at the bottom.
  4. Enter the question, keyword, or topic you need help with.
  5. Follow the prompts, then choose a way to connect with us.

 

Additionally, please make sure to export all your company data to keep the essential details of your business before the team processes the cancellation.
