To fix your QuickBooks balance issue, let's first check if all those uploaded transactions from the wrong company file are excluded. This is to ensure that there are no incorrect transactions left in your register. To do so, please refer to the steps below:
- Go to the Transactions/Banking menu.
- Under the Banking section, select the account where you've uploaded the transactions into.
- Click the Categorized tab and look for the incorrect transactions.
- If you still find one, hit the Undo button. Then, Exclude them in the For Review tab.
- If none, navigate to the Excluded tab to check if there are still incorrect transactions left. Then, delete them.
